Dear Friends

I know I don't owe an explanation about my absence but you all are my friends so I would like to share in case anyone else needs support or resources. In case you forgot while I live for plant magic I'm actually an advocate for elders and caregivers.

A little over 6 months ago my Dad had a fall and shortly after required a caregiver, surgery, 10 weeks of IV antibiotics and long road of repair and recovery. I juggled his caregiving and relocating him to my neighborhood. While professionally I work in healthcare and was blessed by the right connections and support this may have taken a bigger toll on me than I realize looking back on photos and reflecting on my wellbeing. 

All my self care, protein intake, sleep, movement, went right out the window and were no longer a priority. And if we are being completely transparent I found myself very triggered as I slid back into surviving instead of thriving. I was back in fight or flight mode instead of enjoying my quiet little life. Quite frankly I was annoyed, frustrated, and depressed. 

Some changes were made and I'm still working on a new routine but my Dad and I are both stronger, determined and grateful than we were before this journey. His small steps are turning into big leaps, and big changes are coming our way very soon. The changes needed to rebuild confidence and independence and a new chapter in our lives. 

For those of you that offered prayers and support I'm immensely grateful for each of you and all the healing vibes you all sent our way. The last couple seasons have been challenging but I feel like I'm passing the tests. Momentum is building and I'm ready for what ever is coming next. My old type A self would be scared of this uncertainty, but this current version knows I'm divinely protected and guided. 

While I was busy juggling life I still made time for my little garden and had a successful herb harvest this year. My garden, as always brought me peace and some healing. In between moon cycles I made time for herbal infusions. Playing with Plant Magic always brings me so much amazing insight. I'm excited for the shop to come back to life on a different level.
